Meet Readholic.

A reader for the books you have to think about. When a paragraph loses you, select it and an explanation opens right next to it. Later you can turn the chapter into flashcards and review them until they stick.

  • Opens your own EPUBs and PDFs, plus arXiv papers, OpenStax textbooks, and Project Gutenberg books
  • Ask follow-up questions about any explanation
  • Makes flashcards from a passage or a whole chapter and schedules your reviews
  • The app speaks 10 languages and can explain in 16

Our platform

Meet Roadie.

We didn't want to wire up model providers, API keys, rate limits, and cost tracking all over again for every app, so we built that layer once. It turned out well enough that we opened it up to other developers.

Readholic runs on it. Every explanation and flashcard goes through Roadie, and the app itself contains no provider keys.

  • Chat, embeddings & images across OpenAI and Anthropic
  • Use your own provider keys, stored encrypted and only ever used by the gateway

Paroaria is the genus of the red-cowled cardinal, a small Brazilian bird with a bright red head. We liked it as a name for how we want to work: small tools that do one thing well, with a bit of color.
