The short version. WingArtist has no accounts. We do not know your name, email address, or Apple Account. Your artwork stays on your iPad and is never uploaded to us. When you use AI Improve, only the part of the canvas you selected is sent, with your instruction, to our servers and on to an image-generation provider. We show no ads, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we never sell your data.

What we collect, and why
An anonymous device identity
WingArtist has no user accounts. Instead your device proves it is a genuine device running the real app, using Apple's App Attest, and our service derives an anonymous, random identifier from that. It is not your name, email address, phone number, Apple Account, or advertising identifier, and we cannot connect it to you as a person. We use it to count your free AI generations, to apply fair-use limits, and to attach a WingArtist Pro subscription.
AI Improve requests
When you use AI Improve we send the part of the canvas you selected (as an image, with the shape of your selection), together with your written instruction and the size of the selection. That goes to our servers, which forward it to an image-generation provider to make the picture. We never send the rest of your artwork, your other layers, your file names, or anything else from your iPad. The result comes back to your device and is placed on a new layer. Our gateway records metadata about each request (when it happened, which model answered, how long it took, how many tokens it used, and your anonymous identifier), but it does not keep the image you sent or the instruction you typed.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the one-time unlock are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. To activate Pro we receive the transaction's signed data from the App Store: the product, the purchase and expiry dates, and an anonymised token that ties it to your anonymous identifier.
Your free allowance
The count of free AI generations you have used is kept on your own device, in the iPad's keychain. So that a fresh free allowance cannot be claimed simply by reinstalling, we also read and set Apple's DeviceCheck bits, two values Apple stores for your device that contain no personal information and that we cannot read from any other app.
Service logs
Our servers keep operational logs (request timestamps, the feature used, the model used, token counts and error codes) to run the service, apply fair-use limits, and debug problems. Logs are kept for up to 30 days.
What never leaves your device
Your artwork. Drawings, layers, brushes you make or import, palettes, and the time-lapse of each painting session are stored in WingArtist's own folder on your iPad. They are not uploaded to us and they are not synced to any cloud, not even iCloud. You can open that folder in the Files app at any time to keep your own copies. Deleting the app deletes the artwork with it, because iOS removes an app's folder when the app is removed.
Photos you insert. A photo you take or choose goes straight onto your canvas and stays on the device with the rest of your artwork.
Your own OpenAI key. If you unlock Bring Your Own Key and save an API key, it is stored in your iPad's keychain and sent only to OpenAI, never to us.
Who processes data for us

Which provider answers a given request depends on how we have the service configured at the time, and can change if one is unavailable. Whichever answers, it receives only the selection you made and the instruction you wrote.
How long we keep things
We keep no copy of the image you sent or the instruction you typed. Operational logs are kept for up to 30 days. Your anonymous identifier, your free-generation count and your subscription state are kept while the app is installed and for as long as needed to honour a subscription.
Your choices and rights
AI Improve only runs when you ask for it; if you never use it, nothing about your artwork ever leaves your iPad. You can generate on your own OpenAI account instead, by unlocking Bring Your Own Key. Deleting the app removes your artwork and your local allowance count from the device.
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what we hold about your device identity, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Write to hello@paroaria.ai and we will act on it. Because the identifier is anonymous, we may need you to make the request from the device itself so that we can tell which record is yours.
Children
WingArtist is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. There is nothing to collect: the app has no accounts and asks for no personal details.
Changes to this policy
If we change how WingArtist handles data we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
